Our Community Values

True Talk is built on connection, respect, and authenticity. These guidelines help everyone — partners, friends, family, anyone you bring into the game — feel safe enough to be real.

By using True Talk, you agree to follow these guidelines and our Terms of Service. They apply to anyone you play with, whether you’re using the App in a private setting or in a group.

Be Respectful

Honor Boundaries

Keep It Confidential

What’s shared in True Talk stays in True Talk. Don’t share another person’s stories, answers, secrets, or vulnerabilities outside the game without their explicit permission — and never on social media without consent. Trust is the whole point.

What’s Not Allowed

Some behavior breaks the spirit of True Talk and may result in account suspension or termination. Don’t use True Talk to:

Power Dynamics & Healthy Play

Conversation games have a special vulnerability: they can be misused by someone who already holds power in a relationship. If a partner pressures you to play, dismisses your “pass,” uses your honest answers against you later, or makes you feel unsafe sharing — that is a warning sign, not a normal part of the game.

True Talk is meant to be played freely, by equals. If something feels off, trust that instinct. See our Safety Guidelines for resources, including domestic-violence support.

How to Report a Concern

If you witness or experience behavior in or around True Talk that violates these Guidelines — whether by another user, a partner, or someone in your group:

We treat every report seriously and confidentially. We’ll respond as quickly as we can.

Consequences for Violations

Depending on severity, we may issue a warning, restrict access to certain features, suspend an account, or permanently terminate access. We may also report serious violations to law enforcement when required or appropriate.

Together, we create the conversations that matter.
